Northwest Engineering: All part numbers are 12 digits long (e.g. 37068 should be 000370680000).
Bucyrus Construction: Usually 8-10 digits. Can have dashes and letters (e.g. 804577K1 may be 804577-01).
Koehring / Lorain / Bantam: 4-10 digits Can have spaces, dashes and letters (e.g. D3236, 707 9734, 1245-127, 901V1236, 288B1840-5).
P&H / PPM: 4-11 digits and most have letters (e.g. 56Z25, 216P1028, 1079Z2468, 22100N322-1 usually 22100N322F1).
Terex / Allison: Usually 6-10 digits. No dashes or spaces for these parts Rebuilt units have a preceding 9 (e.g. 915253816 Rebuilt Cylinder, 15253816 New Cylinder).
O&K Trojan: Part numbers are 9 digits long. Most books have 7 digits, add "00" to the end (e.g. 1421943 should be entered 142194300).
Simon Aerials: Range from 5-10 digits. Some begin with letters, some have dashes (e.g. GS474, 410022-0053).
Vendor Part Numbers: Usually entered exactly as the vendor uses them (e.g. Meritor - A1205R1916).
